What Fiscal Cliff? For Job Seekers in the Energy Sector, It's Going to Be Like Fishing in a Barrel - Booming!

Does the U.S. economy need to drive off the fiscal cliff?

Not if the President keeps his word!  The President has the power to see the United States file for bankruptcy or to become a leading competitor to Saudi Arabia and other major energy producing companies.  He can do this by approving additional drilling permits in the U.S. as he promised on the campaign trail.  This will allow the U.S. to become energy self sufficient, changing the balance of power around the world.  It is estimated that there are  millions of barrels of oil and trillions of cubic feet of natural gas.  Billions of dollars could go to the federal government, replenishing the treasury, and employment would increase exponentially all across our nation.

There is an oil boom in North Dakota...and that boom may be coming to a city near you!

It's not the first oil boom to hit North Dakota, but it's undoubtedly the biggest. North Dakota has quickly become one of the largest oil-producing states in the country. The Bakken has brought thousands of people to North Dakota and billions of dollars in state revenue.

Since 2010, North Dakota's population has increased by more than 36,000 people. While most of that growth is in oil country. The average salary nationwide is approximately $40,000.  In North Dakota the average salary is $90,000.

It's a busy time to be a builder in the Bismarck-Mandan area. More people are moving into the area and there simply aren't enough homes on the market for them all.  The top two cities benefiting from drilling only be described as an oil “gold rush,” and several cities on our list are in Oklahoma and Texas, traditional center of the nation’s energy economy.

All that is needed for the nation to enjoy the benefits of this boom is for the President to keep his word.  The question is, will he?

A MUST WATCH VIDEO: and PLEASE SHARE! It's Amusing.

Sandwiches, Wagons & Politics……………

This really is a MUST WATCH video starring Dinesh D’Souza & Michael Shermer in a debate  at Oregon State explaining why we do not want Obamacare.

Many of you have read his books and saw the movie '2016 Obama's America,' this year.

What are the moral arguments for free stuff?

Watch Dinesh D’Souza put Obamacare and a number of other things into their proper perspective.

Then when you finish laughing, pass the video on to some liberal in need of counselling…  I know most of them will deny common sense, but there’s always a chance. Employment – It isn’t about to get any better in the next four years. There are a raft of companies who are poised to start layoffs just because Obama was re-elected. In October alone, planned layoffs increased 41 percent! Big companies are joining the layoff parade. Record numbers of workers have given up on finding a job and are not even in the unemployment statistics. Most jobs are offered as part-time so the employers don’t have to pay benefits, so many end up working 2 or three mediocre jobs and still have to pay for their own benefits.

The following is a partial list of companies that have SINCE THE ELECTION announced LAYOFFS. The managers gave the required notices 30 days before the election…so this is the result. These managers are afraid of the effects of Obamacare on their businesses:
- FedEx
- Westinghouse
- Research in Motion Ltd.
- Lightyear Network Solutions
- Providence Journal
- Hawker Beechcraft
- Boeing
- CVPH Medical Center
- US Cellular
- Commerzbank
- Iberia
- Momentive Performance Materials
- Brake Parts
- Gameforge Berlin
- Vestas Wind Systems
- Husqvarna
- ING
- Ericsson
- SRA International
- PerkinElmer
- Majestic Star Casino and Hotel
- Center for Hospice NY
- Bristol-Myers
- Lower Bucks Hospital
- Oce North America
- Corning
- United Blood Services Gulf
- Atlantic Lottery Corporation
- Welch Allyn
- Dana Holding
- Stryker
- Boston Scientific
- Medtronic
- Smith & Nephew
- Abbott Labs
- Covidien
- Kinetic Concepts
- St. Jude
- Hill Rom
- Darden Restaurants
- JANCOA
- Kroger
- Caterpillar
- Alcatel-Lucent
- Umatilla Chemical
- Rocketdyne
- Hobby Lobby

The mainstream and/or government pitch is that the economy is recovering and will be generally stronger in 2013; unemployment will be lower, housing will rise and are we working toward energy independence by 2020.

We can see the truth with our own eyes, or hitch a ride on the denial machine which is running at full throttle on the left!

The Left voted for this!

Can the President Have Americans Killed in America?

While you were not paying attention, the President was granted additional powers.  Just what are those extraordinary powers?  Listen to the video and find out.

Judge Andrew Napolitano explains in this video the reality of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).  The act was signed a year ago by President Barack Obama.  The NDAA authorizes the military to detain even US citizens under the broad new anti-terrorism provisions provided in the bill, without trial, and probably not just on foreign soil. Less you think this law does not apply to you, it is still not clear whether the President  may detain U.S. citizens on US soil. Why, detaining Americans on American soil should not even be in question. Who decides whether you may be labeled a terrorist or not?  The President. What justification does he need to prove you are a terrorist?  None given so far.

I broke out in a cold sweat when I heard the judge explain the new powers of the President.  Listen for yourself and you be the judge.

The National Defense Authorization Act greatly expands the power and scope of the federal government to fight the War on Terror, including codifying into law the indefinite detention of terrorism suspects without trial. Under the new law the US military has the power to carry out domestic anti-terrorism operations on US soil.

And so, the left can say, "We Voted For This"

Groundhog Day in America - We Are Back to Square One after this Election

By Victor Davis Hanson - Democrat

Barack Obama won a moderately close victory over Mitt Romney on Tuesday. But oddly, nothing much has changed. The country is still split nearly 50/50. There is still a Democratic president, and an almost identically Democratic Senate at war with an almost identically Republican House, in a Groundhog Day America.

Obama’s win did not really reflect affirmation of his first term, given that the president made only halfhearted efforts to defend Obamacare, the stimulus, huge Keynesian deficits, and his attempts to implement cap-and-trade. So if there is a second-term agenda, even Obama supporters don’t quite know what it will be.
Unlike the hope-and-change campaign of 2008, Obama’s theme this time around was that George W. Bush had been awful and Mitt Romney would be far worse. The Obama campaign spent almost $1 billion to brand the latter as a veritable felon who callously let people suffer without health insurance.

In textbook community-organizing fashion, Obama won the election by brilliantly cobbling together factions with shrill warnings of supposed enemies everywhere. Young women were threatened by sexist Neanderthal males. Minorities were oppressed by neo-Confederate tea partiers. Greens were in danger from greedy smokestack polluters. Gays were bullied by homophobic Evangelicals. Illegal aliens were demonized by xenophobic nativists. And the 47 percent were at the mercy of the grasping 1 percent. Almost any American could fall into the category of either an Obama-aligned victim or a Romney-aligned oppressor.

How, then, can a reelected President Obama put the fractured American Humpty Dumpty together again after it has been shattered by such a nasty campaign? Certainly, it will no longer work for the president merely to wax eloquent on the need for more civility. Instead, his congressional opponents will expect more hardball Chicago politics and will probably reply in kind.

Yet Obama is going to need bipartisan help to solve a number of menacing crises. His $1 trillion deficits cannot continue for another four years without wrecking the country. A staggering national debt of nearly $17 trillion must also be reduced before our currency is rendered worthless and the interest on the vast borrowing overwhelms the budget. Sequestration looms, with massive cuts in defense and entitlements on the immediate horizon, reminding us that we can live neither with the disease of massive borrowing nor apparently with the medicine of radical cuts and higher taxes.

If most Americans are willing to consider allowing paths to citizenship for law-obeying illegal aliens who were brought here as children, then they should be equally adamant about deporting illegals who have committed felonies or have become wards of the state. But does anyone believe such a balance will really be the basis for compromise?

The dread of Obamacare has already helped to spike insurance premiums. No one yet quite knows how the massive wave of new regulations will affect patients, doctors, and hospitals. Nearly three years after the bill’s passage, the public is still not happy with even the idea of it.

Abroad, most believe that Iran will become a nuclear power unless it is stopped during Obama’s second term. Obama’s choices are bad versus worse: a nuclear-armed Iran bullying the Middle East with a sword of Damocles permanently suspended over Israel’s head, or a preemptive war to defang the theocracy, leading to an almost certain wave of terrorism in the Middle East and a flaming Persian Gulf.

There must be truth-telling soon over the terrorist killing of our ambassador and three other Americans in Libya. A mostly pro-Obama media — in fear of endangering the president’s reelection bid — postponed questioning the preposterous administration narrative of a spontaneous demonstration gone awry over an obscure video.

But the facts of the worst terrorist attack on Americans since 9/11/01 remain stubborn things and won’t go away. Al-Qaeda has not been dismantled, but is still killing Americans. Libya is not a model of a democratic Arab Spring, but mired in tribal chaos.

Key administration officials — Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, especially — will have to explain why prior warnings from Libya were ignored, with fatal consequences. Others, like Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, U.N. ambassador Susan Rice, Vice President Joe Biden, and perhaps the president himself, must tell us why for so long they claimed that the violence was spontaneous, when they knew, or should have known, it was preplanned terrorism.

Yet not everything ahead is bleak. Vast new gas and oil finds could soon make America energy independent. The American economy is cyclical and may finally rebound on its own — if Obama just leaves it alone and stops regulating and borrowing.

Popular lore attests that insanity is doing the same thing over again and expecting different results. Let’s hope that the same Democratic president, the same polarized Congress, and the same divided country do something differently from what they did in the last, lost four years.

The Real Reason Petraeus Resigned!

NOVEMBER 10, 2012 BY

"It was just a coincidence that the attack on the Benghazi consulate occurred on the anniversary of 9/11. We were told that it was really a “protest turned violent” over an anti-Islam video that had exactly seventeen views on YouTube, being uploaded two months before, averaging less than one view per day."

CIA director David Petraeus towed the party line and parroted this ludicrous YouTube story, backing up Obama in testimony to Congress.

At least until we found out that there was no protest.

At least until we found out that Obama had known it was a terrorist act in less than an hour with emails going directly to the White House Situation Room.

At least until we found out that the Obama administration had a live drone feed of the entire seven hour attack.

Then we found out the two former SEALS and then CIA operatives Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were told to repeatedly “stand down” and not help Ambassador Chris Stevens and the other Americans. But they disobeyed a direct order and went anyway, saving over twenty Americans, but paying with their lives.

Petraeus towed the party line with the video but refused to fall on the sword and say the CIA gave this stand down order, thus implicating that it was Obama who had denied help to both the consulate and CIA annex which later came under attack.

And when you cross a Chicago thug like Obama, payback is swift and lethal.

Petraeus needed to be taken out—but after the election—and before he was scheduled to testify under oath this time to Congress about what he knew about Benghazi.

Petraeus’ resignation had nothing to do with an affair. In fact, the affair had been over for months. The FBI had been investigating literally thousands of emails that Petraeus had sent to his former paramour, biographer Paula Broadwell, for longer than that and could have dropped the guillotine months before if they wanted to.

It was rather about paybacks and keeping the American people in the dark about the real reason Petraeus had to be kept quiet about Benghazi: gunrunning. Gunrunning of tens of thousands of Libyan weapons to the al-Qaeda-linked Syrian rebels.

Suggested Economic Policies for Growth, Jobs, and Prosperity.

I was challenged by one of my favorite Democratic friends to explain what I would do to help restore economic prosperity and to restore jobs since I ran for U.S. Congress.  I don't expect agreement on my plan, but, here it is.

There is nothing more important to this country right now than ending our unemployment crisis. Since 2007, we have attempted to “create or save” jobs with bailouts, bureaucracy, and billions in wasteful spending. None of it has worked. Economic freedom and prosperity go hand in hand, so it should be no surprise that big government has failed to produce the kind of economic growth that would result in millions of new jobs.

Supply-side economics policies are key to prosperity! In the long run, our income levels reflect our ability to produce goods and services that people value, right here at home.  Therefore, higher income levels and living standards cannot be achieved without expansion in output from production or services.

The more jobs created by the private sector, the less a worker must rely on the government, thus reducing the nearly 62% of the money our federal budget allocated to entitlements in 2012, which is financed mostly by borrowing.

Americans did not build the largest economy in the world because the federal government told us to do so. The best job creation policy Washington could pursue would be to get out of the way and to allow the private sector expand without punishing success.

The federal government needs to get out of the way of energy companies that would move us towards energy independence.  It needs to get out of the way of small business owners who must fight through thousands of pages of regulations without an army of lawyers to help. Also it needs to get out of the way of the $1.4 trillion in foreign profits that could be brought into the domestic economy if doing so was not so expensive.
I support policies that will end the federal government’s attempts to micromanage the states and the economy. Below is one set of such policies:
A balanced budget amendment would limit the ability of Washington to raise taxes to pay for runaway spending, providing job creators with the certainty that Washington will not continue to grow unchecked thus fueling job creation.
Give the President the statutory line-item veto authority to reduce wasteful spending. This is an important tool to ensure that tax dollars are spent wisely and efficiently. Congress would vote up-or-down on proposed spending cuts.
A simplified tax system will keep more money in the hands of consumers, small businesses and job-creators. Reduce individual income tax rates to a maximum of 25 percent no more than three marginal rates.
Reduce the top corporate tax rate to no more than 25%.  Capital gains should not be taxed, but the profits should be allowed to be reinvested in the business, thus allowing for growth, expansion and hiring.
Our current corporate tax code is outdated and is a major reason why there is up to $1.4 trillion in foreign earnings trapped overseas in countries where U.S.-based multinational companies do business. Under a reformed territorial system of corporate taxation, this plan would create a permanent incentive for companies repatriating foreign earnings to the U.S. economy.
Repealing and replacing Obamacare will remove over $550 billion in new taxes, over $300 billion in higher health care costs, and $2,100 in increased family insurance premiums from employers and workers. The job-destroying policies of Obamacare are estimated to cost the economy at least 800,000 jobs and hit small businesses especially hard.
We need to lift the burdens the Dodd-Frank bill placed on community banks and the small businesses that depend on them for financing, from oppressive new regulations to the resulting uncertainty that prevents growth. Research compiled by the Financial Services Round-table indicates that the cumulative weight of new financial rules, from Dodd-Frank to similar efforts abroad, could cost the U.S. economy 4.6 million jobs by 2015.  I personally went to Washington D.C. to ask Senators Alexander and Corker to vote against it, but they ignored me.
Our currency has been debased as a result of the policies put in place since 2007 due to the endless borrowing.  “Endless borrowing and the interest we must pay on that borrowing is destroying America.

A strong economic policy should focus on reducing the growth of government spending, reduce income tax and capital gains tax, reduce government regulation of economy, and control money supply to reduce inflation and promote more supply-side production of goods and services in the United States.

Conservatives? Time to stop the whining. Tuesday was the siege of Charleston.

November 9, 2012

By ROBERT LAURIE - We're better than the crybaby routine
On April 2nd 1780, British Lieutenant General Sir Henry Clinton led an overwhelming force as it lay siege to the city of Charleston, South Carolina.  The ensuing violence lasted 40 days.  When it was over, 5,200 Continental troops had been captured, 92 were killed, and 148 were wounded.  The city was lost.  It would go down in history as the worst U.S. defeat of the Revolutionary War.
As news of the loss spread, Americans complained that war was hard, there was no way to win, and that Liberty just wasn’t worth the hassle.  So, they surrendered and we remain English to this day.
Oh wait…that’s not what happened, is it.
No.  They licked their wounds, put on their big boy pants, and took it to the Brits with such fury that, a couple of years later, the enemy signed the Treaty of Paris.
For conservatives, Election Night was the siege of Charleston.
Unfortunately, for the last two days, the whiners have taken over the narrative.  Instead of getting angry, and re-engaging in the political battle, the people who should be fighting the hardest are moping around feeling sorry for themselves.
“America is doomed,” They say. “We’ve lost it all.  In four years you won’t recognize the place. We’ve been beaten by Mad King Obama!”
Please, just stop. We're better than this.
Believe me when I tell you that I understand the sting of losing.  We all do. As I pointed out yesterday, The United States finds itself in a dangerous spot, on very shaky footing. The country, as we know and love it, took a very hard hit Tuesday.

With that as a starting point, the fact that our constitutional ideals have become harder to defend does not mean we stop trying. Yes, because of Obama’s re-election he has four more years to try and stamp us out.  He’s made it quite clear that the Constitution is an obstacle, and there’s no doubt he’ll attempt to weasel his way around it at every opportunity.
However, if we simply sit back and wring our hands rather than fight, he’ll have free reign. If we weren’t willing to give that to him on Monday, why are so many ready to admit defeat and hand it over now?
Somehow, conservatives got it into their heads that Election Night was going to be our last battle.  We were going to win, liberalism would go away, and we’d be a nation of strict constructionists.
That was never the case.  If you thought so, you were really kidding yourselves. This fight never ends, and it would have been no different had Romney been elected.
Now, we can do one of two things.  Either we run away with our tails between our legs, or we fight like we’ve been backed into a corner.  Personally, I’ve never been big on the whole “whipped dog” routine, so I choose to fight.
We still have the House, we still have the new media, we still have talk radio, and we still have our voices.
You want to give up?  Fine.  The rest of us will carry on without you.
If you’re tough enough to keep going, cut the crybaby act and saddle up.  We have work to do.

It's Done! We don't have time to lick our wounds!

Dear Fellow Patriots--

This election should have never been as close as it was!  It should have been a SLAM DUNK! Yet, we lost the race by a margin of 50% to 48%.  But we cannot allow it to be a decisive defeat.

Voters on Tuesday waited for up to five hours to cast their ballots in parts of Virginia, as political candidates urged residents of the key battleground state to stick it out.

It was close because our nation has changed.  In fact, it changed years ago and I believe this election simply reflected reality.   Are we outnumbered?  Yes!  Can we do anything about it?  Yes!
Obama‘s failure to accelerate the improvement of the economy should have been a dominant reason for not re-electing him. In spite of his shortcomings, we had millions of Americans who chose to stand in long lines, sometimes for several hours, during the rain or snow to pull the lever to re-elect Barack Obama.

Have we lost the country?

In October, I reposted Star’s blog stating that Obama's bubble was far from bursting, with approval ratings still above 50 percent while our economy was spiraling out of control.

For a couple of years, we've talked about the demographic shift impacting our country's policies.  Obama knew that the demographic change would secure his re-election. He won in spite of liberals selling entitlements to an ever enlarging voter block in exchange for votes and values.

The Democratic Party knew that they could count the entrenched entitlement populations who long ago abandoned hope for prosperity in return for the "safety" of a guaranteed subsistence living that the government offered them. But using threats, outright lies and fear-mongering, Obama and the statists behind him gathered millions of more supporters from young single women, Latinos, Muslims, and young student populations.  The election this week bore the fruit of those efforts.

Well, it's time to stop talking, because the shift has happened. Now is time for action!

You've heard me say it over and over: America will not change until we bring the truth into the communities where it has never been heard before.

A young black man finally faced the truth about Obama the night before the election.  He finally understood the meaning of the effect of pro-growth limited government policies.  He told me he could not vote for Obama because he was afraid that a lot of others would lose their jobs, and Obama’s values did not align themselves with his. I cried because the revelation came too late to impact the outcome of this election, but I know by his response that this decision was well thought out.  He is only one of many who, when faced with the TRUTH, will do the right thing.  This was someone who I had known was an Obama supporter.  If there is one person like this, how many others are today dealing with regret for their past inability to see the built-in destruction of their enslavement to this completely radicalized party?

How can we have a country run on individual responsibility when fewer and fewer citizens know what these values are?  As shameful as the Democratic Party’s convention was, when the camera panned the audience, the Democrats intentionally showed a diversity of people which appeared to reflect America.  Even during Obama’s speeches, you saw that same display of diversity. That representation was not there to the same degree during Romney speeches.

That does not mean we do not have diversity in the Republican Party.  We do.  But, perception becomes reality when viewed by the uninformed. And the diversity we know about includes people who have achieved their success through hard work and commitment to the Constitutional checks on government that were created to ensure that government will not be allowed to trample on a free peoples' right to opportunity and equal protection from that very government.

The political action committee, CharlottePAC.org will take the message to upwardly mobile. Latinos and young Milleniums who need to understand the truth about welfare and entitlements and how those programs are designed to enslave us by making us dependent on the Democratic Party just to get their votes.  CharlottePAC.org will help to redefine how prosperity is achieved in this nation. We will explain the American exceptionalism of this great nation and the Constitution.  I knew that by building an organization that fights for the truth, the way our nation was founded, we could restore our country as our founders envisioned and liberate Americans.

I still believe in this goal. Do you?

Don't despair.

We don't have time to lick our wounds. It's time to fight where the battle is actually taking place -- in our nations' communities that are held hostage by liberal elites and shifting America's reliance on individual responsibility.

The road ahead will not be easy.  But we're not giving up.  One election will not stop us. Now, with implementation of ObamaCare on the horizon, the problems inherent in the law will become more manifest.  We’ve suffered a setback, but we are not giving up on our principles.

"Never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.''  Winston Churchill.

The message is getting out in Memphis Apostle Alton Williams, Pastor World Overcomers.
